Bio
Linda Steinhardt Majzner has her B.A. from Queens College, her M.A. from Montclair State University, and most recently her M.F.A. from William Paterson University. She was a high school art teacher; retired from Livingston High School N.J., where she taught AP Art Studio and was the advisor to The National Art Honor Society. She is a member of Studio Montclair in Montclair NJ and has had her work on exhibit in many of their selective art shows. Steinhardt Majzner is also a member of the flat file of The Painting Center in NYC.
She has participated in many group exhibitions within the tri-state area. In 2005 she was the recipient of a Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation Grant for Visual Artists/Education. She has participated in many well-known artist workshops with renowned artists. In 2005 and 2009 she was at The Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, Mass., where she studied mono-printing and painting. In 2011, Steinhardt Majzner received a teacher/artist grant for summer study at the Anderson Ranch in Aspen Colorado. She studied woodblock printmaking in 2013 at The Lower East Side Print Shop in NYC. In 2014, she participated in a seminar at The College of St. Elizabeth: Art of the 21st Century. She also received a grant to pursue her art for a summer, in 1991 in Mishkenot Sha’ananim , Jerusalem, Israel.

In 2003 she was selected to show her carved woodblock prints with wood assembled paintings at The NJ Arts Annual, “New Horizons in Crafts”, at The Noyes Museum of Art. She has received awards/prizes from prestigious art critics such as Phyllis Braff and William Zimmer, both NY Times art critics.
